The episode starts with Krishna feeling down after losing his job. Ajab passes by the tea stall where Krishna is sitting and asks him what he is doing there. Krishna asks Ajab if he cannot be there. Ajab reminds Krishna that he is retired and can be anywhere, but Krishna is a working man and should be at work. He comments on Krishna’s presence there. Krishna tells Ajab that he is thinking too much and leaves.
Chotu notices that Satluj is absent-minded. He brings Satluj out of his trance and reminds him that he has to deliver a car by the evening. Satluj asks Chotu not to disturb him and sends him away.
Pooja comes to Satluj and asks why he looks disturbed. Satluj tells Pooja that he made a mistake in the morning. Pooja is surprised to see Satluj talking to her so sweetly. She comments about it to Chotu.

Mahi is working in the kitchen. Sangam tries to help him, but Mahi realizes that she has never worked in a kitchen, so he takes over the work himself. Sangam asks Mahi if he never thinks about his mother. Mahi tells Sangam that he never saw his mother and that, to him, Ganga has been both his mother and father.
Raghuvendra recalls Nirgun telling him that there is no woman in the Bacchan family, and that their father is a drunkard who was jailed on the charge of murdering his own wife. Raghuvendra hugs Sangam’s photograph and becomes emotional.
That night, Satluj returns home with a gift for Sangam. Krishna and Mahi tease him after seeing it. Sangam opens the gift and sees that it is a cup with “I am Sorry” written on it. She tells Satluj that it is quite cute and thanks him. Satluj then leaves.
Later that night, Satluj asks Krishna why he sleeps with them outside instead of sleeping in the room with Sangam. Krishna lies to his brothers, saying that he is sleeping outside for Ganga’s sake because he has decided not to begin his married life until Ganga gets married. Satluj and Mahi do not believe him and tease him.
The next day, Sangam hangs her clothes on a wire to dry. Bhushan’s wife comes to the wall and secretly asks Sangam what she is doing there. She warns Sangam to be careful because the Bacchan family is dangerous and tells her to run away. Ajab overhears their conversation, lashes out at Bhushan’s wife, and leaves.
Sangam notices that the clothesline has come loose and tries to tie it to a nail. Satluj sees that she is having trouble, helps her, and then leaves.
Sangam stops Krishna before he leaves and asks if he spoke to Ganga about getting a job. Krishna tells Sangam that Ganga did not have her certificates, so he did not talk to her. Sangam suggests that Krishna let Ganga work without pay for some time so that he can decide later whether to hire her. Krishna agrees.
Krishna goes to Ganga and asks for his help in finding a job for Sangam. Ganga asks Krishna where he can find a highly qualified job for someone like Sangam. He then asks Krishna if he lied to Sangam about him. Krishna replies that he only told Sangam that Ganga is an architect and comments on it.
